Project Promotion and Recording Coordinator
Job duties:
(a) To conduct video shooting and still photograph photography for recording built heritage (including but not limited to related events, traditional craftsmanship, restoration, repairs and maintenance), archaeological heritage (including but not limited to related excavations, investigation and recording on site, conservation and recording of finds unearthed on site and at stores), on-site and off-site exhibitions (including but not limited to related preparation works, mounting and dismounting of exhibits, educational, extension and engagement activities and publicity), heritage trails (including but not limited to preparation and improvement work, educational programmes held on site), interviews, events (e.g. fun days, heritage concerts), meetings and functions;
(b) To edit video and conduct production for the built heritage, archaeological heritage, exhibitions, interviews, events, meetings and functions;
(c) To plan, arrange and oversee production of video shooting and virtual tours of monuments, historic buildings and archaeological sites, and interviews with relevant specialists/individuals, as well as filming officers at work;
(d) To prepare, vet and edit publicity materials in relation to community engagement, public educational and promotion programmes, activities, events and exhibitions, etc. on built heritage and archaeological heritage;
(e) To engage heritage conservation professionals/academics/organisations to promote heritage and heritage conservation through community engagement, public education and promotion activities, events, exhibitions, media and social media; and to sharpen the image of the Client;
(f) To initiate, implement and maintain online community engagement by means of website, media and social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube Channel, etc.;
(g) To consolidate and analyse public views collected on heritage and heritage conservation and the work of the Client and prepare recommendation for review by the Client; and
(h) To draft articles on heritage to be uploaded to the media and social media as the Client thinks fit, and to follow up on the logistics.
Requirements:
(a) Has an accredited degree in journalism or communication or media or public relations or multi-media design or animation related discipline from a tertiary institute of Hong Kong or equivalent;
(b) Has at least three (3) year relevant work experience in media or heritage conservation related organisation(s) to record, produce and edit videos;
(c) Has proven experience in conducting research and interviews;
(d) Has proven experience in writing and editing articles or news in relation to local history / heritage;
(e) Has a valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate or equivalent certificate;
(f) Has a valid certificate for working in confined spaces;
(g) Has experience as visual observer to guide drone pilot for aerial photographing or filming is preferred;
(h) Has good command of both written Chinese and English;
(i) Able to communicate fluently in Cantonese, English and Putonghua;
(j) Be proficient in video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro;
(k) Be proficient in photo editing software including Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop;
(l) Be proficient in virtual reality software; and
(m) Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel, and good at photography.
Working hours: 44 hours per week
Working location: Tsim Sha Tsui area
Salary: $1,664 per day, $189 per hour (ot payment)
