Festivals Support Services Assistant

Duties:


(a) to assist in marketing and promotional activities;


(b) to take up reception duties, take care of artists and guests, handle the related logistics and hospitality arrangements;


(c) to assist in stage and programme production related matters (both technical and non-technical)


(d) to assist in coordinating exhibition and producing simple design work


(e) to assist in mailing of publicity materials to the target audiences;


(f) to assist in editorial and research work;


(g) to take up operational duties of workshops, talks and other educational and extension activities;


(h) to take up the role as facilitator/translator, photo-taking and video-recording duties for extension activities;


(i) to assist in replenishing festival materials (including publicity and programme related materials) and maintaining storage tidiness when necessary and as required;


(j) to assist in post-festival evaluations and data compilation


Qualifications:


 (a) be permanent residents of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;


 (b) be either graduates of a university in Hong Kong or equivalent with experiences in programme marketing, event management, customer service or hospitality (cultural events, design projects or exhibition preferred) or diploma holders from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) or equivalent with knowledge in event management, film production and/ or backstage experiences


(c) possess good spoken and written language skills in English and Chinese. Good spoken language skill in French or Italian is an advantage:


(d) be positive and have proactive working attitude with pleasant personality;


(e) knowledge in Adobe Photoshop or with editorial experience will be an advantage;


(f) have interest in performing arts or technical knowledge and experience in lighting, sound or stage management is preferred;


(g) at least two (2) candidates should be capable to act as facilitators for workshops and talks


Salary: $ 128 per hour, 9 hours per day including 1-hr paid meal break, Service normally between 9:00 am and 23:00 pm, working shifts on evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holiday will be required on need basis.


contract period : 2.5 months from  mid June 2024 - late August 2024
