Museum Assistant (Hong Kong Science Museum) 1 Year Contract, Welcome Fresh Graduated student

Job Duties: 

1. To conduct, assist in planning, content development, liaison, promotion and logistics support for various demonstrations, education programmes, laboratory programmes, workshops and online programmes organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum.

2. To assist in coordination of programmes with outside parties and monitor such programmes as required

3. To prepare reports for such programmes as required.

4. To assist in updating the contents of thematic websites, designing of publicity videos, and production of educational worksheets.

5. To teach and assist visitors to operate the exhibits properly and to perform operational duties on selected exhibits

6. To work shifts and assist the Duty Exhibition Hall Officer in coordinating with different sections for daily operation of exhibition hall and crowd control

7. To handle enquiries, complaints, ad hoc incidents or emergencies at Museum

Contract Period:

1 June 2026 - 31 May 2027

Service Time: 44 hours per week, 5 days work, 09:30-18:18 (Mon - Sun)

Salary: $19,000 - $22,000 

Requirements: 

1. Bachelor degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Technology.

2. Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage.

3. Good knowledge in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.

4. Preferably be familiar with photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Final cut Pro.

5. Preferably be experienced in developing and organising demonstrations, workshops or educational programme, early childhood education, museum or laboratory work.
